Some leftover medhu vadai were sleeping in my fridge.... so I thought of preparing my husband‘s favorite Thayir vadai today. I am also big
fan of this vadai. It is very simple and
tasty to eat.snacks.
Ingredients
- Medhu vadai – 4 to 5
- Curd / yogurt – 1 cup+2tsp
- Green chilies – 1 (adjust to your taste)
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Coconut grated – ¼ cup
- Onion chopped – ¼ cup
- Kaaraboondhi- ¼ cup
- Carrot grated – handful
Method
- First heat water in a pan and put medhu vadai one by one into it and leave if for few seconds and take it out. Squeeze the water out.
- Then grind cumin, green chilies and coconut in a mixer grinder, grind it smooth.
- Mix the grounded paste to one cup curd.
- Then arrange the medhu vadai in a plate and pour the curd mixture over it. Let it rest for 2 to 3 hours.
- Before serving, add chopped onion, grated carrot, karaboondhi and 2 tsp curd.
Note: You can also add omapodi , clilantro and cucumber if
you wish.
