Vegetable Spring roll

Vegetable spring roll

I made Vegetable spring roll for the first time, it came out very well, outer layer was crispy and inner was very soft. Only thing I felt ,it was little thick than the usual store brought wrap. And I used egg for the wrap; vegetarians can replace it with milk.


For outer layer

  • APF (maida)- 1cup
  • Egg - 1
  • Salt - to taste

For stuffing

  • Cabbage chopped- 1/4cup
  • Green peas - handful
  • Carrot chopped - 1/4 cup
  • Noodles cooked - 1/4 cup
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Green chilies - 1
  • Soya sauce -1 tsp Pepper powder – ½ tsp (adjust to your taste)
  • Salt - to taste

How to make
First prepare the stuffing, heat oil in a pan. Add chopped garlic, chopped green chilies and fry for few minutes.
Add all the veggies, saute well.
Next add the cooked noodles, soya sauce and toss it well.
Add salt and pepper powder to taste.
For outer layer mix APF with egg and salt, mix it with water and make a thin batter.
Next heat a dosa pan and make a thin dosa.Cook on one side.
Place dosa on a plate, place the stuffing on the uncooked side.
Then cover all sides like a envelope, cover it using a maida paste (mix maida with water)
Then deep dry in hot oil. 
Serve hot with ketchup.
